Please join us in the Times Mirror room of the Natural History Museum at 7:30pm, Wednesday April 16, for a presentation by Kenneth Corben. Ken Corben is a multiple EMMY winning Director of Photography with credits spanning the underwater genre from 3D IMAX production to Shark Week and Hollywood features. His film projects have led him to both the Arctic and Antarctic as well as many of the Earth's remote regions in between. Ken will present images and video from his recent expedition to the Solomon Islands and discuss filming biofluorescence at night with new technologies. The new discoveries and their advanced biomedical applications are astounding. The new image possibilities for all us underwater enthusiasts even more so. APRIL MINICOMPS: This month’s regular minicomp topic is "Itty Bitty" - plus we'll be running an extra minicomp "Night at the Museum" for photos taken during February's after-hours museum visit. Please submit your entries using our upload form no later than 11:59pm Tuesday April 15. TRIP REPORTS We love having one or two people share their dive experiences at the beginning of meetings, so if you have a short trip report (about 5 minutes) you'd like to share, please e-mail the webmaster.
