Please join us on Wednesday, November 15th at 7:30 pm, at the Natural History Museum in the 2nd Floor Classroom for our last meeting of 2017!

Todd Winner from Nauticam USA will be presenting a talk on water contact optics and showing a few of the new products including the Wide Angle Conversion Port and the SMC-2. These are exciting times for underwater photographers! There hasn’t been a water contact optic for full frame wide angle shooters since the Nikonos lenses. Alex Mustard has a great review of one of the pre-released Wide Angle Conversion Ports available here. http://www.wetpixel.com/articles/review-nauticam-wide-angle-corrector-port

Please join us on Wednesday, September 20th at 7:30 pm, at the Natural History Museum (room TBD) for a presentation by Dr. Hans Bertsch.

From Hans:

I study the ecology and biology of nudibranchs, which are shell-less gastropod mollusks and are often called sea slugs. I especially study their taxonomy and phylogenetic relationships, long-term community variations, feeding biogeography, and global patterns of distribution.  Although no stranger to the Caribbean and Central West Pacific, my main research area has been the water around Mexico's Baja California peninsula.
